If you love the atmospheric scenery of historic New England estates, then you might want to take a look at the Aldworth Manor wedding venue. This New Hampshire country manor sits on 180 rolling acres with picturesque views of Mount Monadnock. The Aldworth Manor is gorgeous in all seasons and it’s perfect for the couple seeking a European-style wedding venue in the United States. Let’s take a look at the architectural features, wedding pricing, and amenities offered at this luxurious estate fit for a costume drama heroine.
The History of Aldworth Manor Wedding Venue
The Aldworth Manor was originally constructed in the 1800s in Worchester, Massachusetts. Then, due to Alice Childs’ estate inheritance logistics, a crew disassembled and reconstructed the structure in 1908 in Harrisville, New Hampshire. The Childs’ family spent a fortune beautifying the grounds by adding formal garden elements, a reflecting pool, and a terrace. You can still find the original front entrance rhododendrons planted by the family! Later, the Long family purchased in 2014 and brought it back to its former glory. The warm architectural details and lush meadows now establish the Aldworth Manor wedding venue as a top New England destination.
Lodging
This estate works well for couples who would like their family and friends to stay the weekend. They offer lodging for up to 52 people, which provides enough space for your immediate family and wedding party or for smaller guest counts. Four different buildings of various sizes are furnished with cozy decor designed for a comforting weekend. You can also rent the lower living area floors of the estate for any additional gatherings. Some of the local attractions include scenic hiking, boating, farm animal visits, and swimming.
